Registration

  • Help Rena, Graham, John and Stu with general day-of-event needs: getting ice; setting up for the cocktail hour; shuttling people & things; general assistance for random tasks.

    Your dedicated assistance is greatly appreciated.
  • Help Rena, Graham, John and Stu get everything launched and together for the regatta. You may be helping inflate race marks, brew coffee, set up tables, attach decorations and banners, etc.

  • Assist the Hansa 303W Chase Boat operator with supporting the dinghies. Experience Racing is STRONGLY encouraged. Powerboat operation experience is encouraged, too.
  • Assist the Hansa 303W Race Officer with running the Hansa (Access Dinghy) races. Experience Racing is STRONGLY encouraged. Powerboat operation experience is encouraged, too.

    The Committee boat for the Hansa Course is the 17' SeaHunt HOSS.
  • Help us get the Hansa 303W boats in the water and rigged for the competition. Once sailors arrive, our riggers assist with dock management: water, crowd control, etc.

    Riggers are asked to stick around and assist with derigging, too. Prior experience at an Access-ability Saturday is preferred. Thank you in advance!
  • Assist with registration, selling YGR & DSC Merchandise, and pointing folks in the correct direction. This is the second registration shift of the day. Please consider sticking around for the racing action and the party afterwards
  • Drive the chase boat for the Access dinghy course. Set the course, provide assistance to racers as needed, and work with Signal Boat. Experience operating a powerboat IS required. Lunch provided.
  • Assist with registration, selling YGR & DSC Merchandise, and pointing folks in the correct direction. This is the first shift of the day.
  • Assist the markset driver with setting, moving, and retrieving marks, and hoisting/lowering any flags that might be needed. No experience required but you WILL be in the sun all day. Lunch provided.

    The mark boat is the 17' BW MaryAnna.
  • Drive the markset boat for the J/22 course. Set the marks, move the marks as needed, and work with the race committee on the Signal Boat to provide high quality regatta assistance. Experience operating a powerboat IS required. Lunch provided.

  • Assist with hoisting and lowering the flags, keeping score, and generally being a rock star running the event. Experience running races and racing sailboats is strongly recommended. Lunch is included.
  • Assist with selling YGR & DSC Merchandise and pointing folks in the correct direction. This is the final merchandise shift of the day. Please consider sticking around for the racing action and the party afterwards.
  • Assist the PHRF PRO in starting and scoring the PHRF Pursuit Race. Lunch included
  • Assist the SONAR PRO in launching, running, and scoring the races for the Sonar and Freedom Distance Class Races. This class will use the 15' LOST & FOUND whaler. Lunch included

  • Be part of the transfer team and help get sailors into their sailboats. Experience and prior volunteer service required.

Not racing in the Ya Gotta Regatta!? Then please consider volunteering for one of the many tasks for the day.
