For Sale – 1983 Catalina 27 Sailboat - $9,000.00

Good condition with almost new sails, new lines and solar panel charging system. Freshly

finished teak trim. Cockpit cushions and cabin cushions all in great shape. Extra jib sail included,

upgraded radio and new battery. Running inboard Universal two-cylinder diesel engine.

Bottom has been recently painted in 2022. Four-foot draft makes for easy access to most parts

of the Bay.


One of the most popular 27-foot sailboats in the world, great for racing or just learning to sail in

For Sale – 1988 Pearson 33-2 WK - $22,000.00

“Evening Star” has been used in our cruising programs regularly for years providing educational sailing instruction and exciting cruises all over the Chesapeake Bay. She's even sailed the

ARC DelMarVa - a 450 mile cruise around the DelMarVa peninsula.

She has been regularly maintained and cared for by Downtown Sailing Center (DSC) as part of our cruising fleet. We have received a newer donation sailboat to replace Evening Star and it is now time to sell her to help raise funds for our programs.

With room for five adults to overnight comfortably and a working galley, Evening Star is perfect for sailing the Chesapeake Bay. With a wing keel shallow draft of 4 ft 3 in you can access almost anywhere on the Bay.

She is a masthead sloop with sails in good condition. Upgrades include AGM batteries, autopilot, upgraded VHF radio, rail mount grill, solar panel charging system, and roller furling genoa.


Private aft cabin and V-berth with hanging lockers. Roomy salon with center dining table and wrap-around seating that can convert to a berth for two. Ample storage space throughout the cabin and good headroom. A large ice box provides space for plenty of food and drink.


Working shore power with upgraded battery charging unit and cable included.


Powered by a 2GM Yanmar engine w/ 18 HP regularly maintained.
