Registration

  • If you have an adaptive sailing need and want to race in the Freedom class, please register here. On the registration form, please indicate any and all information that may be pertinent for the regatta, including others you plan to race with.
  • If you are planning to help as an assistant coach or assist with the crew work on a Sonar, sign up for this role. The Sonar Class for YGR is focused on providing adaptive sailors with a high quality, enjoyable racing experience.
  • If you are planning to coach or assist with helming a Sonar, sign up for this role. The Sonar Class for YGR is focused on providing adaptive sailors with a high quality, enjoyable racing experience.

    This person is responsible for the general safety of the vessel while it is underway.

The Freedom Independence 20 Class Regatta is focused on providing relaxed racing on a short distance course for people with disabilities and their friends. Please sign up as a coach/skipper, as a sailor with adaptive needs (you can be the skipper if you want), and/or as an assistant coach/crew.

The Freedom Class is geared towards sailors with adaptive sailing needs who have very little trunk support. The Freedom 20 has 2 high-back chairs that are fitted with lap belts and chest straps so that people with limited mobility can enjoy sailing in a comfortable, secure environment.
