Leave a lasting impression

The DSC relies on generous support from individuals, groups, corporations, and charitable foundations to support the full bulk of its programming. If you would like to make a long-lasting impact on our fleet and our facilities, consider giving the gift of a name.

For boats, your generous gift enables you to honor a loved one or a cherished memory through a boat name.

For docks and facilities, your legacy gift will enable you to recognize your family, foundation, or loved one in perpetuity.

New RS Feva Fleet Needs Boat Names - $3,000 per boat

Our new RS Feva Fleet of six boats, generously granted to The DSC by US Sailing through the Siebel Sailors Program, will make it possible for youth of all backgrounds to develop skills for life. Leave a permanent mark on our center and make an indelible impression. Funds from the naming rights will help sustain the Siebel Sailors Program beyond 2022.

Boston Whaler Super Sport Needs a Name - $5,000

The DSC was recently donated a Boston Whaler Super Sport in bristol condition. The boat features a varnished mahogony interior and has always been dry sailed. For the 2020 season and the foreseeable future, this boat will be used exclusively for Adaptive Sailing support, Powerboat Education, and Ya Gotta Regatta support.

A perfect boat deserves a perfect name. This Boston Whaler will remain under cover and be kept out of the water except for during events, so she is guaranteed to remain fresh and leave a lasting impression on all who see her.

Name a J/22  - $6,000+

The DSC was recently given a J/22 that has been meticulously maintained in race-ready condition. Stored indoors for much of its life and sporting a smooth, clean hull, this J/22 will be utilized in our new Ambassador Program.

The Ambassador Program is a racing program (in development) that will go to support exposure for youth, women, and people of color. DSC Ambassadors will train on this J/22 in Baltimore, then travel to Annapolis to compete in local, regional, and national regattas. The team will include at least one female adult, one youth, and seek to include people of color as ambassadors.

Support a Pier on our Community-focused Docks with a $20,000+ Legacy Gift

The DSC's 'B' Dock was developed through a substantial gift from the Jean and Sidney Silber Foundation, The DNR, and the Maryland Heritage Area program through the Maryland Historic Trust. This marina development is in use but lacks completion. Consider a legacy gift to support the completion of the dock space, used primarily for youth and adaptive programming.

Specified Donations of $20,000 or more will go toward one of the following of your choosing:

  • The Siebel Sailors Program Dock (closest to Harborview)
  • The Access Dinghy platform
  • The Adaptive Canopy (used for adaptive events and the S.I.T. program)
  • The "Sailing Shack" (to be developed) on 'B' Dock for Siebel and youth program storage
  • The completion of the Hoist Pier, including electrification
