Role Type: Seasonal, Part-time Adult Education Sailing InstructorsThe Downtown Sailing Center is looking for part-time Adult Sailing Instructors for the 2026 season (April–October). Role Type: Seasonal, Part-time Lead Camp Instructor (Beginner & Intermediate)The Lead Camp Instructor oversees all Beginner and Intermediate summer camp operations, providing staff supervision, instructional leadership, and safety oversight. Role Type: Seasonal, Part-time Lead Race Camp Instructor (Racing Camp Coach)The Lead Race Camp Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality racing instruction and managing the Racing Camp program and staff. Role Type: Seasonal, Full-time Young Mariners Lead InstructorThe Young Mariners Lead Instructor serves as the primary adult waterfront leader for the Young Mariners teen program, ensuring participant accountability, curriculum consistency, and meaningful mentorship. Role Type: Seasonal, Part-time Summer Camp Sailing InstructorsThe Downtown Sailing Center is looking for passionate and skilled Sailing Instructors to join our Summer 2026 Camp Team! Camp Dates: June 22 – August 21 (plus one week of training before camp starts) Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM Pay: $16 – $20 per hour, with opportunities for end-of-season bonuses and pay increases for returning staff We’re hiring instructors for Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced (Racing) level programs based on your sailing expertise and instructional experience. Part-time Adult Sailing InstructorsThe Downtown Sailing Center is looking for part-time Adult Sailing Instructors for the 2026 season (April–October). Flexible scheduling available—commit to as much or as little as you like! Why Teach at DSC?Flexible Work Options – Teach full-day courses, US Sailing certification classes, 3-hour experiences, private lessons, or corporate events. Competitive Pay – $17–$25/hour, based on experience & certifications. Diverse Opportunities – Instruct a variety of classes on J/22s, Sonars, or larger 30’-40’ cruising sailboats (for those with USCG licenses or US Sailing Cruising Instructor Certification). Safety First – Uphold and teach best boating safety practices. Requirements
Preferred: Valid US Sailing Basic Keelboat Instructor Certification. Bonus: USCG Captain’s License & experience with 30’-40’ cruising sailboats.
