Volunteer Registration: Mt Washington Pediatric Hospital Outpatient Sailing Event

Registration

  • Support families with check-in and boat assignments, providing a warm welcome and directing them to their boat and skipper
  • Experience required.
  • You will help participants safely board the boats with the Hoyer Lift. Lift experience required.
  • Experience required.
  • You will assist a skipper with providing a fun sailing day for pediatric outpatients and their families. Some sailing experience is required (must be able to follow skipper instructions).
  • You might be providing sailing instruction (including "tiller time") to participants. Participants are pediatric outpatients and their families.

Thank you for volunteering to support Mt Washington Pediatrics Outpatient group! Pediatric patients and their families will join us on the water to recharge, gain exposure to recreational opportunities, and connect.

The day will begin promptly at 9:00AM to muster, set up, and rig keelboats. Sailing participants will arrive at 10:00AM and sail until approximately 12:30 PM. The event will finish by 1:00PM.

The DSC needs volunteers to fill the following positions:

  • Greeter/Escorts
  • Sonar Skippers 
  • Sonar crew
  • Safety boat operator
  • Hoyer lift transfer assistance (training is required)
