“I Love SoBo Day” is an annual community celebration highlighting all things South Baltimore. Hosted by South Baltimore United, Inc. - the nonprofit publisher of the South Baltimore Peninsula Post - the event is free and open to the public.

DSC will participate with a vendor table to promote membership opportunities as well as our Youth and Adult Education programs. We’ll also offer a limited number of sailing outings for interested attendees.

Each participating boat will offer two one-hour sailing tours, departing at 10:00 a.m. and 11:15 a.m.

We are looking for volunteers in the following roles:

  • Skippers and Crew – One skipper and one crew member per boat
  • Escorts / Dockside Assistants – Guide participants from the vendor table to the docks, assist with PFDs, and help launch and receive boats
  • Table Volunteers – Help with sailing sign-ups, explain DSC programs, and answer questions
    • Two shifts available:
      • 9:00–11:30 (includes setup)
      • 11:30–1:30 (includes breakdown)
