Member-Volunteer Preparatory Session for 2013 Season

Calling all groundhogs! Come out with us as we prepare for a fun, new 2013 sailing season.

This session will include:

• educating veteran members, new members, veteran volunteers, and new volunteers about 2013 season opportunities

• relating to new members and new volunteers, as well as refreshing veteran members and veteran volunteers, about our Downtown Sailing Center's guidelines. (All members will at least receive one Member Handbook, ed.2; all volunteers will at least receive one Volunteer Manual, ed.2. We encourage everyone to understand both.)

• providing newbies with basic training so that they may begin learning skills they need to perform able docking, maintenance and sailing.

• reorienting veteran members and veteran volunteers with the fleet, and likewise with friendly faces

• celebrating 20 years of grassroots sailing and community outreach

The preparatory session's duration is approximately one hour, although we would love for you to stay and engage in learning activities until 4pm. You may choose to leave at any time.

Registration to this event is not required, but it is strongly encouraged.
