Spinnaker Clinic
This event requires some sailing experience.
Are you interested in learning to sail with a spinnaker? This event is your chance to learn! Two of our seasoned TNR skippers will run this clinic on spinnaker handling.
This event is intended for sailors who are already competent crew with the main and jib and interested in further developing their skills with the "third sail".
If you've never flown a spinnaker before, you will learn everything from rigging to hoisting, flying it, jibing, and dousing. For those that have sailed with one, this is a chance to practice driving with it up.
If you are already checked out as a DSC skipper and you have some spinnaker experience, please sign up to volunteer as a coach. We will need a coach on each boat that is comfortable driving and instructing the crew on spinnaker mechanics. This will allow you to develop your skills while helping others!
This event is NOT for beginners!
