Fleet Week Open House - Open to the Public!

Ahoy!  The Downtown Sailing Center, Baltimore City’s community sailing organization, is offering the chance to try out sailing for FREE during Fleet Week celebrations. No experience necessary! 

Check out all the DSC has to offer and see the ships in town for Fleet Week!  Enjoy a 1 hour sail around Inner Harbor and see the ships berthed in Fells Point and at Under Armour. All Ages are welcome to see the facility but we like for our sailors to be 7 y/o and Up. 

For your convenience, we offer 2 separate arrival times for you to choose from:

  • 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM
  • 2:15 PM - 3:15 PM

About the event:

  • Qualified DSC skippers and crew will be operating the boats
  • Life jackets will be provided (and required) for all participants. 
  • Minimum age for sailing is 7 years old
  • Maximum group size per boat is 4
  • We recommend wearing close-toed shoes and bringing a bottle of water. 
  • Our skippers are well trained and very experienced with our fleet so you are in safe hands!

This is a FREE event that is open to the public. Please register in advance if you plan to come.  This event is Rain or Shine, so please dress for the weather! When you arrive, park in the gravel lot near the water and check-in with DSC volunteers near the docks.
