Canceled - Winter Work Party

Join us as we prepare the DSC to head into the winter. At this work party we will address some basic repair needs on DSC J/22s, Sonars, and power boats.

Some tasks we plan to accomplish:

  • Replace and re-bed damaged hardware
  • Re-bed toe-rails and other leaky deck fittings
  • Sand boats in preparation for paint
  • Paint boats
  • Light epoxy repairs as needed

We will meet at the indoor space at Port Covington: 300 E Cromwell St (enter from Cromwell, then turn left in the parking lot).

Space is limited due to the nature of the work and availability of tools and supplies, so please only sign up if you can stay for the whole event;  and let us know if you need to cancel.

No boat-work experience is necessary. We will provide instruction and all necessary tools and supplies.  You should be comfortable using basic hand-tools and power tools. The marine sealant we use (UV4000) doesn't easily wash out of clothes, so please dress accordingly.  Thank you for your volunteerism!
