Volunteer registration: SCALE at The League

  • You will help collect liability waivers, fit pfds and direct people to their boat.
  • You must receive training on our manual Hoyer lift in order to fill this role.

SCALE (The Snyder Center for Aphasia Life Enhancement) at The League for People with Disabilities is a specialty program of The League. The Life Participation Approach to Aphasia (LPAA) is the foundation of all SCALE programs and services. The LPAA model is based on the latest research on aphasia treatments to provide long-term support to individuals with aphasia and help them to re-engage in life and achieve their goals.

The DSC is hosting this group for a sail on Saturday, August 13 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Please arrive at 10:30 to help rig the boats and provide life jackets.
