2020 Ya Gotta Regatta One Design Regatta

  • Aren't ready to skipper your own boat but want to race? Sign up here. We'll do our best to put you with a great team!
  • Help someone else realize their dreams! Downtown Sailing has given to you -- give back to the Downtown Sailing Center!!!
  • Each boat's skipper will register to participate in the one-design race on Saturday September 20th. Boats will be randomly selected on the day of the event.

    Registration fee covers regatta fee, x2 regatta party tickets. Additional tickets can be purchased for $15-$30 before the event or at the door.

    Teams fundraising $250 or more for Ya Gotta Regatta will have their regatta fee waived.

    Individuals looking to register an additional One-design boat should provide that information in the space provided below.

    Fleets of 8 or more that can suitably sail windward leeward style legs may be admitted to race in the Ya Gotta Regatta!

This one-day regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing.

The course will be fleet racing in DSC J/22s (with Spinnaker) and DSC Sonars (non-spin - main and jib only) on windward-leeward drop mark courses. Other fleets are welcome to participate and will be added at the discretion of the organizing authority.

Eligibility:  DSC Members and Non-members.  Non-DSC Members who have intentions to skipper a DSC boat must complete a pre-race boat orientation  All participants must sign the DSC liability waiver; Teams are very strongly encouraged to fundraise for Downtown Sailing's Community and Accessible programs through our fundraising page.
