CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER: Frostbiting 2016 Week 4

Frostbiting is Cancelled for 12/17/2016 due to predicted sleet, snow, rain, and freezing temps.

Those deciding to sail do so at their own risk.

On your marks, get set...

You got it! Frostbite Racing at Downtown Sailing. Wrangle up your crew or sign up solo and head down to the docks for a quick, fun sail around the buoys. 

Skippers are encouraged to save space for two to three  crew.

New to 2016: We are moving from these events being staff run to volunteer/member run. If you are interested in being the Race Committee please register under that option. Race Committee Members are encouraged to have powerboat experience and RC experience. Please contact stuart@downtownsailing.org

**Lifejackets are Required**

The DSC hopes you will join us in making this frostbiting season a warm and enjoyable experience for all sailors and community members. If you are a member of the DSC, please sign up in the appropriate category online so we have record of your intention and attendance. 

Please note that frostbiting will not occur if the winds exceed 20 kt., if the combined wind+water temps are below 80F, or if there is snow/ice on the boats/docks/water.

Also, if you are not a DSC skipper but are serving as the skipper of the boat (college skipper, BCSC or BCYA guest, summer employee), you will need to fill out a release of liability and skipper agreement form. All first-time sailors need to complete a release of liability before sailing with us.
