Lollipop Kids Foundation is back!

The Lollipop Kids Foundation is focused on supporting families who have children with disabilities. And they love to sail at the Downtown Sailing Center.

The Downtown Sailing Center will have the Lollipop Kids at the sailing center from 5:00PM-7:00PM. The program is very similar to our Access-Ability Saturday event. We ask volunteers to arrive at 4pm to help rig the boats.

It will be a great opportunity for volunteers to experience one of our accessible programs in a relaxed atmosphere. Since the program has a smaller group of participants it allows for the volunteers to learn the ins and outs while helping an amazing group of people learn to sail.

Interested Participants: This is a private event so please contact Lollipop Kids Foundation for more information.

The DSC needs volunteers to fill the following positions:
  • rigger and de-rigger of boats
  • sailing buddies
  • greeters
  • transfer aids
  • safety boat operator

  • Escorts
There is training available for all of these positions, if you are interested in learning about a specific role feel free to call the office at 410-727-0772 or email Johanna Murphy, the DSC Volunteer Coordinator at:
