Disabilities Awareness Training

Brought to you by PATHFINDERS FOR AUTISM

This training session is designed to educate our volunteers about how to best serve and work with persons who have autism, intellectual or developmental disabilities, and other disabilities in general. Trish and/or Shelly are pros and their training will help insure Downtown Sailing is following best practices in our adaptive programming.

Anyone who is interested in learning how to work and interact with people with disabilities is welcome to attend - you do not need to be a sailor with us to attend.

The event starts promptly at 10AM so we ask for you to arrive early enough to catch up and grab a seat. Doors will open by 9:45AM.

We are delighted to welcome PATHFINDERS back to the DSC to speak with us and we look forward to having you. The training will be held on the 3rd Floor of the Hercules Building (DSC Office Building). There is an elevator for persons who need to use the elevator, as well as accessible restrooms.

For more information, please do not hesitate to reach out to Stuart or Johanna (the 'H' is silent) by phone or email. We are honored to have you volunteer!
