Volunteer Registration: Access-Ability Saturday - ATAXIA DAY

  • Please arrive at 9am.
  • We need a DSC member who has experience operating the powerboat, preferably with previous experience volunteering at an Accessible Saturday.
  • We need 1 or 2 more DSC approved Crew level volunteers. Preferably with prior Accessible volunteering experience.
  • We need qualified DSC Sonar Skippers to help with this Accessible event.

Thank you for volunteering for one of the DSC's access-ability Saturday sailing sessions. They cannot be run without volunteer support and commitment.

The day will begin at 9:00AM for rigging of our boats and launching them into the water. On site training will be provided to new volunteers. Participants will arrive at 10:00AM and head out soon after. The day will finish by 1:00PM.

This is a special event for the Ataxia Center. Thank you for your volunteerism!

The DSC needs volunteers to fill the following positions:
  • rigger and de-rigger of boats
  • sailing buddies
  • greeters
  • transfer aids
  • safety boat operator
  • safety boat coach
  • J22 and sonar skippers to take participants out on the day fleet boats 
  • cruising skippers to take participants out on the DSC cruising fleet
  • Escorts
