Emergency Procedures for Weather and VHF Radio

This free “Weather & Communication” seminar will be presented by Capt. James "Randy" Gray & Capt. Bob Baginski. The first part of the seminar on weather will include clouds, winds, waves, tides, currents, and storms.  The discussion will include what to take into account for passage planning, what is available once you are underway, and where weather information is available.  The second part of the seminar on communications will include radio operations and use, correct use of a VHF radio in emergency and non-emergency situations (e.g., mayday, pan-pan, security, and hailing other vessels and marinas).  If you own a VHF radio, please feel free to bring it!
