Frostbiting and DSC Social

Dress Warm! This is a Frostbite Race to DSC Social Saturday! Join us for an early afternoon Frostbite Race then stick around and warm up at Barflys on Fort Ave for a DSC Special Happy Hour. Drink and Food Specials! 

This event is open to everyone! Come for the Sailing and the Party or just the party! 

Frostbite Race Details: 

Skippers are encouraged to save space for one or two new crew.

The DSC hopes you will join us in making this frostbiting season a warm and enjoyable experience for all sailors and community members. If you are a member of the DSC, please sign up in the appropriate category online so we have record of your intention and attendance. If you are a guest, please register as a guest and contact Stuart at stuart@downtownsailing.org to learn more or get on a boat.

Please note that frostbiting will not occur if the winds exceed 20 kt., if the combined wind+water temps are below 80F, or if there is snow/ice on the boats/docks/water.

Also, if you are not a DSC skipper but are serving as the skipper of the boat (college skipper, BCSC or BCYA guest, summer employee), you will need to fill out a release of liability and skipper agreement form. All first-time sailors need to complete a release of liability before sailing with us.
