Volunteer Registration - 2022 Ya Gotta Regatta

Registration

• A) Registration - Morning (7:30AM - 10:00AM)
  Help set up the registration table. Check in Sailors (J/22 and PHRF) and Volunteers as they arrive. Sell DSC merch as needed.
• B) J/22 PRO (8AM - 5:00PM)
  You're in charge of it all! Make sure your signal boat assistants know which flags to use; make sure the course is square; make sure the races run on time; make sure everyone does their job!
• C) J/22 Mark Boat Operator (8AM - 5:00PM)
  Experience driving a power boat is required, and setting a One Design race course prefered.
  
  Operator MUST have BOAT US Safe Boater certificate.
• D) J/22 Race Committee Crew (8AM - 5:00PM)
  Assist with hoisting and lowering the flags, keeping score, and dropping and hauling marks. Experience running races and racing sailboats is strongly recommended.
• E) PHRF PRO (9AM - 5:00PM)
  Run the PHRF Pursuit race. Coordinate time checks, signal the start, and score boats in finishing order. Experience running sailboat races preferred.
• F) PHRF Race Committee Crew (9:00AM - 5:00PM)
  Assist the PHRF PRO in starting and scoring the PHRF Pursuit Race.
• G) Merch Table and Volunteer Check-in (10AM - 3PM)
  Assist with selling YGR & DSC Merchandise and checking in volunteers.
• General A dock help 10:00-3:00
• H) Accessible Sailing Greeter/Escort (12:00pm - 2:00pm)
  Check in Accessible sailors, provide them with a PFD, and escort them to the assigned area or boat. Help clean up and break down the registration table
• I) Hansa Access Dinghy Rigger (12:00pm - 5:00pm)
  Rig and De-rig the Access Dinghies. You may also assist in helping sailors to enter/exit the boats.
• J) Access Dinghy PRO (12:00PM - 5:00PM)
  Set the course and run races for the Access Dinghies. Provide instruction and coaching to sailors as needed. Experience running sailboat races is preferred.
• K) Sonar and Freedom Class PRO (12:00PM - 5:00PM)
  Launch, run, and score the races for the Sonar and Freedom Class distance races. This class will use the 15' LOST & FOUND whaler. Experience running sailboat races is preferred.
• L) Accessible Classes Chase Boat Operator (12:00pm - 5:00PM)
  Experience driving a power boat is required. Operate the chase boat for the Access Dinghy or Sonar/Freedom courses. You may provide instruction/coaching to sailors as needed.
  
  Operator MUST have BOAT US Safe Boater certificate.
• M) Accessible Race Committee Crew (12:00pm - 5:00PM)
  Assist the PROs and chase boat operators in running the races for the Access Dinghies or Freedom/Sonar races. Start the races and score boats as they finish. You may also provide instruction/coaching to sailors as needed.
• Merch Table - 3pm to 5:30 OR 5:30 to 8PM
• N) Access Dinghy Sailing Buddy (12 PM-4:30PM)
  You will sail with a participant on an access dinghy. Minimal experience required!
• O) Sonar/Freedom Coach (12:00pm - 5:00pm)
  You might be providing sailing instruction (including "tiller time") to participants (up to 3) in one or 2 medium distance races to Ft McHenry and back.
• P) Sonar/Freedom Crew - 12:00pm - 5:00pm
  Assist the coach/skipper as needed in providing sailing instruction and boat handling.
• Q) Hoyer Lift operator/assistant. (12:00PM - 5:00PM)
  Training on our manual Hoyer lift is required to fill this role.
• R) Party Setup and merch table (1:00pm - 4:00pm)
  Set up for the party, and man the registration/merch table. Check in guests as they arrive, and sell meal tickets and DSC merchandise
• S) Party maintenance (3pm to 5:30pm)
  Roaming volunteers - site clean-up and maintenance
• T) Kids entertainment (3-7PM)
  Make-up booth; STEM project booth
• U) Party Cleanup (8-9:30PM)
  All hands on deck - clean up and breakdown tables, decorations, etc. Make sure all trash and recycling makes it's way to appropriate dumpsters.
• V) Party maintenance (5:30pm to 8:00pm)
  Roaming volunteers - site clean-up and maintenance
