The DSC Ya’ Gotta Regatta is an annual fundraiser for the Downtown Sailing Center on Baltimore Harbor. Proceeds from the event support the DSC programs that share the thrill of sailing with people from all walks of life. Powered by our members and volunteers, we are able to make the sport of sailing affordable and accessible for anyone who wants to get out on the water.
Each year, our instructional programs train hundreds of sailors, from novice beginners, to advanced racers and those who dream of sailing someday far beyond land. Our youth programs and summer camp lay the foundation for future mariners, while also building confidence and developing important life skills such as teamwork, critical thinking and stewardship of our water and natural resources. At the same time, our accessible sailing programs creates equal access to the water for people with disabilities, leveraging the power of the wind to provide a pathway to independence and harness the therapeutic benefits that surface by being on the water.
Together, we thrive in an inclusive community that embraces a spirit to bring sailing to everyone. Thanks to our generous supporters, your donations touch the lives of individuals who otherwise would not have the opportunity to get out on the water. From camp scholarships, to programs with inner-city schools, to serving people with disabilities from Maryland and neighboring states, each dollar raised brings us one wave closer to full inclusion and equal access on the water.
