The DSC plans to hold Powerboat Lessons during "Phase 1" of the "Maryland Strong" campaign, with a maximum of 3 students (1/boat)

Revamped for 2020!!! US SAILING (Accelerated) Safe Powerboat Handling Certification

This two-day, hands on course is for anyone who wants to practice safe handling skills on a small motorboat.

Coast Guard Approved. The US Coast Guard has approved this course as an on-water supplement to the NASBLA Safe Boating Certificate. This is the perfect pairing for your state's boating safety education certificate, and candidates who pass the on-water and written US Powerboating test will receive US Powerboating SPBH Certification. The industry standard is to cram all of the material into one day; our groundbreaking program runs a full two days.

Sailors operate the SeaHunt with 90HP engine for an Access-ability Saturday

This course is not a substitute for a person's NASBLA State Safe Boating Certification (it is an on-water supplement). The Maryland State Boating Certificate can currently be earned at no cost to you through the Boat US Foundation's Safe Boater Program. Click HERE to earn your Safe Boater Certificate through Boat US Foundation.

All candidates are required to show and carry their valid "Safe Boater Card."
