US SAILING Safe Powerboat Handling Certification

US Coast Guard Approved!

This 14-hour hands-on, on-the-water course is for anyone who wants to learn how to safely operate a small motorboat and improve their boathandling skills on actual boats. The US Coast Guard has approved this course and this is the perfect pairing for your state's boating safety education certificate. These national and state approvals call for the course to include a total of six to eight hours of classroom sessions covering required education topics. Instead of only offering you six hours of on-the-water time, we have listened and are now focusing on bringing you the on-the-water experience for two days rather than one.

This course is not NASBLA approved and all candidates are required to show and carry their valid "Safe Boater" card. The Maryland State Boating Certificate can currently be earned at no cost to you through the Boat US Foundation's Safe Boater Program.
