The Cruising Basic Cruising Certification Course, taught by Captain Phil Schnering aboard the USCG inspected vessel, the Pintita, is a 2-day intensive course that is designed to maximize your experience aboard a cruising vessel.  This is an OVERNIGHT event.

Prerequisites:
Participants are expected to be US Sailing Members in good standing who have received their Basic Keelboat (BK) Certification. Participants who do not possess BK certification may take a "Challenge" Course to obtain their certification, which may be applied retroactively.

Participants are also required by law to have a NASBLA approved safe boater's license. For more information on US Sailing's Course Requirements, check out their informative website.

*Students who participate in the US Sailing Basic Cruising Course are encouraged to continue their Cruiser education with the US Sailing Bareboat Cruising course scheduled the following dates: October 23-25.  These are OVERNIGHT courses.

For more information regarding the DSC's course offerings, please contact Capt. Phil Schnering at phil@sailthepintita.com.
