The Downtown Sailing Center (DSC) is the only community sailing center in Baltimore. Our mission is to make the joy of sailing accessible to everyone, regardless of age, income, ability or disability. Program revenues, grants and the sweat equity of our numerous member volunteers help us carry out that mission in large part, but not completely. Your donations fill in the gaps and keep the DSC going strong.
With a fleet of 50+ boats — most of which have been donated; a membership of 600 avid sailors — many of whom give many hours to the DSC; and the generosity of charitable foundations, corporate donors and individual donors, like you, we have enabled thousands of at-risk children and people of all ages with disabilities to enjoy an activity thought by many to be accessible only to the wealthy and able-bodied. Through our educational programs, thousands of people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds have learned to sail. We need your support to continue to provide these sailing opportunities to all.
