Bob Baginski, Membership Council Chair

I joined the DSC in 1999 and have been a continuous and active member since that time. I started sailing in my hometown, Erie, PA, as a teenager and was immediately hooked, but had limited access or time to pursue this interest further, as other priorities emerged. I currently live and work in York, PA, about 55 miles up I-83. As have many of you, I started at the DSC by taking advantage of all of the sailing and Adult Education opportunities, open sails, fun races, and cruises.

In addition to being an Adult Ed instructor since 2003, I have actively engaged in program development with numerous DSC colleagues. These upgrades and program development efforts include revising, updating curriculum for the Adult Education Keelboat program, as well as Cruising Mini Sessions, and sponsored the proposal for the addition of the US Sailing Cruising and Bareboat curriculums. As the DSC continues to develop as a regional and national factor in the sailing world, I look forward to hearing your thoughts and ideas to further improve the DSC offerings. I can be found working on cruisers, participating in the Friday fun races, as well as member and open sails.

Bob is the chair of the Membership Council and member of the Cruising Council.
